Job Adverts - Ban now in place for exclusively advertising abroad

The Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses (Amendment) Regulations 2014 (SI 2014/3351) came into force on 5 January 2015.

These regulations prohibit employment agencies and employment businesses from advertising vacancies for jobs based in Great Britain exclusively in other EEA countries.

The ban only applies to employment agencies and employment businesses operating in Great Britain. Employers could use a foreign employment agency to solely advertise British based jobs in other countries.
