Labour Leadership Contest - Employment law pledges

Jeremy Corbyn and Owen Smith have set out a number of pledges in relation to employment law.

Both candidates would outlaw zero-hours contracts, abolish employment tribunal fees and repeal the Trade Union Act 2016.

Mr Corbyn would make union recognition compulsory in companies with more than 250 employees. Mr Smith would allow electronic balloting in industrial action ballots, and would strengthen collective bargaining. He would also introduce wages councils in some sectors.

I’ve personally worked with Ortolan Legal’s managing director on a number of transactions. Their legal advice doesn’t come wrapped in multiple caveats; it takes account of the commercial realities businesses face. Technically, they are really capable and they’re also highly personable people to work with. They represent real value for money.
